Games are awesome, no one can deny that, over the decades they’ve just gotten better and better. Africa has been making efforts to break into the space for a while now and while titles like Mortal Kombat and DMC are globally appreciated here are a few not so popular but still worth checking out.

Leti arts is a game development studio with offices in Ghana and Kenya. They’ve managed to do some very impressive stuff, among them was Africa’s Legends a puzzle fighter game they released and maintain on the android app store. Boasting well over 5000 downloads it’s definitely a fun way to kill some time. You can download and play for free here.

Aurion is simply a stunning delight. From the Cameroonian based studio Kiro ‘O games Aurion tells the tale of a fallen prince and his quest to take back what is rightfully his. It’s something utterly refreshing that taps into Africa’s vast history and lore, bound to give you quite the experience Aurion is simply a must play, period. From the Kenyan based Black division studios Nairobi X is a blast of an adventure. It’s basically an alien invasion going down in Nairobi, not really something we get to see often. You can download the apk  here. Better get to it Nairobi needs your help.

SNAILBOY:RISE OF THE HERMITRON
